Senior Citizens Are Rediscovering The Benefits Of Marijuana
From coast to coast North American senior citizens are rediscovering the benefits of marijuana, and this old fart thinks that’s a good thing. Now no longer having to hide and evade the law, the “Woodstock Generation” once again enjoys basking in the afterglow of one of nature’s greatest healing plants. While band-aids may have replaced bandannas, walking sticks are now more therapeutic than esoteric, and rock and roll is now about chairs not music, it’s become abundantly clear that the desire to get high and self-medicate has remained relatively unchanged for decades.
Marijuana Is A Natural And Organic Alternative To Addictive Substances
Millions of elderly people have turned to marijuana for a natural and organic alternative to alcohol, for a physically non-addictive alternative to pain killers, a mild and effective way to induce appetite, and to ‘enhance’ their life experiences. This has upset international pharmaceutical corporations to no end. And the choices of ways to imbibe in the wonder plant have never been greater, because marijuana isn’t just for smoking anymore. It now comes in many forms, from concentrates to candies, and from soda pops to alcoholic beverages.
Cannabis Business Is Booming From Boomers
Huge numbers of seniors who once supported the ‘war on drugs’ can now be seen frequenting local purveyors of fine botanics, and eyes once sunken and almost lifeless now brightly twinkle like stars in the sky. Almost daily people all over the nation are reporting amazing benefits, from controlling incontinence to overcoming arthritic pain and discomfort, and from stopping horrific seizures to controlling cancer. Yep, the ‘Boomers’ are back, and their support of marijuana growers and suppliers is causing another ‘boom’, one that’s green in all the right ways.
But as with any substance, there’s always a small percentage who are compelled to abuse, and therefore there are many considerations that need to be acknowledged, as mentioned here.
